Travel Destinations
Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is a city full of history, charm, and stunning architecture. It’s famous for Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and the annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival. The city beautifully blends medieval and Georgian influences, with cobbled streets, grand buildings, and breathtaking views from Arthur’s Seat.
Hollywood is the entertainment capital of the world, famous for the film industry, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and iconic landmarks like the Hollywood Sign and TCL Chinese Theatre. Highlights include Paramount Pictures, historic music venues like the Hollywood Bowl, and Dolby Theatre, home of the Oscars. Scenesters can choose from improv comedy clubs, retro-cool bars and velvet-roped nightclubs.
The Bay of Fundy lies between Canada’s Nova Scotia and New Brunswick provinces, and touches the U.S. state of Maine. It’s known for extremely high tides, as at spots like New Brunswick’s Hopewell Rocks. These eroded “flowerpot” formations stand in water or on dry land, depending on the time of day. The coastal Fundy Trail Parkway offers lookouts and beaches. Fundy National Park has trails through the Acadian Forest.
Salou is a beautiful coastal town in Catalonia, Spain, known for its golden beaches, Mediterranean climate, and lively atmosphere. It’s a popular holiday destination, especially for families and young travelers, thanks to its proximity to PortAventura World, one of Europe’s best theme parks.
The town also offers a lovely seaside promenade, delicious seafood, and vibrant nightlife.
Marrakech is a vibrant city in Morocco, known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and lively souks. It’s a place where old and new blend seamlessly, from the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square to the serene gardens and luxurious riads.

How I Got Started Blogging
Although I have been travelling for many years, it is only recently I started Travel Blogging at DeeJayEss Travels.
I am a keen photographer and have been taking photos of my holiday locations since I first had a camera ( a Diana manual film camera). These days I use a Canon 90D digital camera. I also have a Canon film camera.
I have many thousands of photographs of my journeys and will share them on my blog.
Why I Blog
My Experience with Budget Travel
Affordable Accommodation – I’ve stayed in budget hotels such as Travel Inn and Travelodge and 2 star hotels. The accommodation is basic but comfortable.
Cheap Transportation – I always fly by economy class. The leg room is not that great but it beats paying top dollar to fly. I use trains and buses whilst on holiday which is a lot cheaper than using taxis or an Uber.
Low-Cost Activities – I am always on the lookout for free attractions, hiking, visiting local markets and using city passes for discounts.
Saving on Food – I eat where the locals eat. Try to avoid eating where the tourists hang out, the prices are always more expensive. Street food is another way to save. I check out any meal deals at fast food restaurants and use coupons found in local papers.
Flexible Planning – I never travel during peak seasons as the prices are a lot more. I always book well in advance to take advantage of cheaper prices. I shop around for last minute deals at travel agents or with online booking agents. Traveling during off-peak seasons, booking in advance, or using last-minute deals to get the best prices.
Where Am I Now?
I’m literally at my PC planning my next journey. I love the UK and travel here more than any other country. We have spectacular countryside and coastlines. Every part of the UK is worth a visit including Wales (my home location), England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Eire or Southern Ireland is definitely worth travelling to also.
